Lindsay Kilburn, MD, is an attending physician in Neuro-Oncology at Children’s National Hospital and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  Dr. Kilburn specializes in the care of children with newly diagnosed and recurrent or progressive brain and spinal cord tumors.  Dr. Kilburn is Board Certified in both Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Clinical Pharmacology making her well suited for her role as the Director of Experimental Therapeutics for the Brain Tumor Institute at Children’s National. Her research focuses on developing novel therapies through clinical trials of targeted and combination therapies, personalized medicine, and low intensity focused ultrasound in an effort to improve survival outcomes and toxicity for children with brain tumors.  She serves as the principal investigator and senior co-investigator for multiple, national early phase clinical trials for children with glioma and is actively involved in multiple clinical trials consortia including the Pediatric NeuroOncology Consortium. the Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, and the Children’s Oncology Group.
